Advancements in Adaptive Remote Laser Welding

This presentation is intended to highlight the various trends in the industry as it relates to adaptive processes implemented into remote laser welding.

In this discussion, we will review various features such as triangulation based seam tracking, gap bridging, high speed oscillation, pattern welding, shape based recognition for welding utilizing vision, and coaxial based vision packages with algorithms developed for in process quality inspection.  These features will be reviewed in various real life applications and their benefits relative to the process will be explored.
