LIVE Demonstrations from TranTek Systems, Novarc Technologies, and our new xFUME™ VAC Extractor Units

This year's FABTECH feature more live demonstrations at the ABICOR BINZEL booth than ever before!

1. Spool Welding Robot SWR from Novarc Technologies, Inc.

Tube and pipe welding has historically been a labor-intensive and costly process. The Spool Welding Robot - a one-of-a-kind innovation from Novarc Technologies, automates the pipe welding process with an innovative boom and gantry system that allows for the SWR to reach pipe spools while not impeding floor traffic - all while taking up a minimal shop footprint.

The Spool Welding Robot "SWR" features the ABIROB W robotic torch system standard along with the CR 1250 Water Cooler and it's integrated flow switch technology. Additional features like the EWR 2 Gas Management System and the TH6x Optical Seam Tracker add gas savings and real time tracking and adjustment of the weld joint.

Live customer demonstrations will occur frequently each show day and customer demos available on request. Add us to your show itinerary here.

2. TekCel 1000 featuring ABIROB A 500, xFUME™ ROBO Fume Extraction, xFUME™ VAC ADVANCED, & TH6D Optical Seam Tracker

A show-stopping robotic cell display will feature the latest in robotic arc welding technology for health and safety and joint tracking. The new xFUMEROBO and it's patented design will debut to showcase it's versatile fume extraction capabilities and demonstrate for manufacturers a first of it's kind commercially available robotic fume extraction option that does not require a hooded cell solution, instead using a portable self-cleaning extractor unit for easy maintenance. Made for manufacturers needing to access the weld cell to remove larger parts with an overhead crane or seeking lower cost, more agile fume extraction solution aside from central systems.

Paired with xFUMEROBO will be the dynamic and adaptive TH6D Optical Seam Tracker featuring our latest "GF" model with an optimized field of view. All will be showcased on the ABB 1660 ID.

TekCel is a robotic cell solution of TranTek Systems, Inc.

Live  demonstrations will occur frequently each show day and on request. Add us to your show itinerary here.

3. xFUME™ VAC ADVANCED with the xFume™ Fume Extraction MIG Gun

The industry-best fume extraction welding gun meets it's perfect partner with the newly debuted xFUME™ VAC ADVANCED. Featuring the high-vacuum technology required of the American fume extraction market, xFUME VAC ADVANCED is a highly efficient system that filters out up to 99.9% of al dust > 0.1 µm. With two connections for extraction hoses, hook up 1 or 2 xFUME™ Fume Extraction welding guns for a flexible, effective, and economically safe welding operation.

xFume Vac Advanced's features include an automatic filter cleaning by compressed air impulse, automatic start/stop function via a current clamp to reduce operating costs, and a compact, robust design with casters for easy mobile use.

Live demonstrations will occur throughout the day each show day. Add us to your show itinerary here.

4. Simulated demonstration of the Gas Management Solution EWR 2 and it's Data-acquisition Software

Shielding gas is one of the great costs on the weld, and one of the few that you can cut through improved technology! If you are looking for ways to reduce your shielding gas cost or usage, the new Gas Management Solution EWR 2 will be on display and available for demonstration. EWR 2 uses a patented solenoid valve design with a closed loop monitoring system to regulate the flow of gas in conjunction with the weld current. Gas savings range anywhere from 30 to up to 60% in some cases.

New to the EWR 2 is the service monitoring software that allows you to program the EWR 2 to your unique gas mix - including tri-mixes - which allows the EWR 2 to calibrate itself and save you the most gas possible without sacrificing weld quality. The service software shows you the gas use in realtime with a live Return on Investment calculator.

See all of these features and more at the ABICOR BINZEL Booth daily.

NEW Products!

Beyond our live demonstrations, we'll be showing several new products for this year's FABTECH Show:

xFUME™ VAC ADVANCED

The all new, compactly made and high performance xFUME VAC ADVANCED performs with high vacuum fume extraction efficiency for up to two manual fume extraction welding guns. xFUME VAC ADVANCED removed up to 99% of the harmful welding fumes and features an automatic filter cleaning and automatic start/stop function to lower operating costs and extend parts and filter life.

xFUME™ VAC FLEX

An ideal and versatile entry level fume extraction solution, xFUME VAC FLEX is a freely movable extraction funnel with a compact, lightweight, and easily movable design. It's durable, brushless, and maintenance motor ensures a long service life. xFUME VAC FLEX is made with a robust metal housing that reduces noise in the shop and is durable enough to withstand true industrial settings. Extracts at more than 1,100 cubic feet a minute (CFM), exceeding most in the industry.

xFUME
ROBO

The first ever mass-market product source capture fume extraction for robotic welding applications. xFUME ROBO utilizes a unique mounting booth and extraction dress hose system to capture harmful  welding fumes right at the source inside the robotic cell. A more efficient and lower cost alternative to traditional hood-style robotic fume extraction system requiring high level of air movement and low static pressure extraction.

xFUME ROBO will be demonstrated live with the TranTek TekCel® each day at the show.

xFUME-ROBO-Wide

ABI-CAR Welding Tractors:

A portion of our new Hard Automation product line shown last year will be showcased at FABTECH with an updated version and new accessories! See the new ABI-CAR Tractor System with oscillation features and their compact, robust build. A new track system with ON/OFF magnets will also be displayed.

Modular Remote Laser Welding Head Combined with a Consistent Interface Standardization Provides Flexible Application Possibilities in Production

Jay Flowers, ABICOR BINZEL Laser Systems
Monday, November 11th 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM

Remote laser beam welding is attracting increasing attention due to the high productivity and the high saving potential with regard to cycle time, especially today in the area of hang on parts. With the use of the remote laser beam welding a flexible tool is given, which allows to operate different laser applications with one processing head. This is crucial for modern, highly automated BIW because it has to build an ever-increasing variety on a reduced foot print in the plants.
